Oscar nominee Daniel Day Lewis was on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” today, ostensibly to talk about his Oscar nomination — but instead made an emotional statement on the death of Heath Ledger.

Breaking away from Oprah’s prepared questions, Lewis choked-up as he spoke of the late actor — even though he “didn’t know him.”
