News > Who Scores The Watchmen

Written by David Morgan

Tyler Bates, a composer best known for his collaborations with Zack Snyder and Rob Zombie, has been chosen to provide the score for the upcoming adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons's Watchmen. Comingsoon reports that Snyder has recruited the man who scored 300, saying about that earlier project "It moves the film into mythology cauterizing the images as you view them, making them something they could never be alone." Bates has also written the music for Dawn of the Dead (2004), Halloween (2007), The Devil's Rejects, and Zombie's Werewolf Women of the SS trailer from Grindhouse.

So, if you like the way Zack Snyder movies look and sound, good news! If you don't, well, it's too late to change anything. In either case, you still have to wait until March 6th of next year to see the results.
