American actors Juliette Lewis and Vincent Gallo will lend their voices to a Swedish animated movie directed by Tarek Saleh called Metropia. According to Variety, the film "has been in development for four years," and "combines animation and live action and is set in the future when the world has run out of oil."

The rest of the voice cast includes Udo Kier, Stellan Skarsgard, Sofia Helin, Shanti Roney and Alexander Skarsgard (son of Stellan). The film should be released in the Spring of 2009. Between this and Dario Argento's Giallo, it sounds like Gallo is finally breaking into more mainstream projects and breaking out of his infamy as "the guy from the movie with the fellatio (The Brown Bunny)" and "the guy who's selling his sperm on the internet for one million dollars, only not to dark-skinned people (real life)."
