Not to get anyone's hopes up to high, but the Writers Guild of America announced that they are withdrawing contract proposals demanding jurisdiction over reality and animation. They have also agreed to begin meeting with the major studios again. These small concessions could be the next big step toward a worthwhile and just compromise. What spurred this Well, nobody wants the Oscars canceled. The WGA realizes that, as does AMPTP. So with any luck, the end of the strike is in sight.
