Idol Rewind: Red Hot Rocker Nikki McKibbin

American Idol kicks off its 7th season Thursday night on Fox. To celebrate the new season we are looking back at some of the show’s more memorable contestants.

Nikki McKibbin finished third in the inaugural season of Idol back in 2002. She was beat by Kelly Clarkson, who won season one, and Justin Guarini.

Her rockstar voice was met with just as much passion by her fire engine red hair. She at one point us to strip for money before finding fame on American Idol.

Her debut album was released last year with the title of Unleashed.

Since appearing on Idol she has done several reality TV shows including Fear Factor, Battle of the Network Reality Stars and Kill Reality.
