> National Treasure 2 Keeps First Place in the BO
The Nicolas Cage family adventure flick National Treasure: Book of Secrets took $35.6 million this weekend, propelling its domestic gross to $124 million after just nine days of wide release. Alvin and the Chipmunks came in second place for the weekend with $30 million, giving it a (surprisingly high) gross of $142 million. I Am Legend took $27.5 million ($195 million gross) and kept a strong third place. After these three financial juggernauts, the rest of the box office numbers were more within the typical range.
