So we all know why Roswell is famous, but what do New Beetles have to to with it? Well, an early ad campaign from VWclaimed the bug was “reverse-engineered from UFOs.” And then owners started calling their cars “pods.” A car show tohighlight this trend was conceived in 2000 (hence the 2K in the title, even though this year’s show should be 2K4), andthe natural place to hold it was Roswell. Although technically a competition, there are 220 trophies distributed sothat everybody goes home a winner. With the mods on the above NB including AN ALIEN WAITRESS ON ROLLER SKATES, onewonders if perhaps the government should try to cover this one up as well.
