Since the Taurus/Sable lineup was given the future axe not long ago, plans for Ford’s ATL-based plant have been upin the air. Formerly it was reported that the Hapeville, GA complex would put together sport wagons; alas, no longer. Now we’re hearing that two new Lincoln sedans will be produced there, front- and all-wheel-drive cars based on the FiveHundred platform. The LS sedan will soon be replaced, and no one is sure if the Town car will stick around, either. Weshould know more by about mid-2005, when the Taurus and Sable will be officially extinct. So check back here a yearfrom now.
