Coupes6-series

Ok so it still tastes like an old penny. But: BMW is going to replace its 3.0 liter gasoline-burner with what theyare calling the world’s lightest six cylinder, weighing in at a svelte 355 pounds. Plus the performance has beenincreased by 12 percent, and the fuel consumption should decrease by 12 percent. Much of this goodness arrives due tothe continued development of BMW’s Valvetronic engine management system. The new engine will also employ a water pumpthat uses a tenth of normal power. The engineering marvel will first be used in the 630Ci coupe and convertible, andthen be put to work in the 5 and 7-series, X3, X5 and Z4. It will not power any 3-series vehicles until thenext-generation in launched.
